Legal
Terms of Service
Plain terms for a small calculation service. Nothing in them takes away a right the law gives you.
Effective date 2026-09-05
1. Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and the company that operates Enoughpairs at londonsockcomp.shop. The company’s full legal name and its statutory disclosures are set out on the legal information page. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “the service” means Enoughpairs.
By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
2. What the service is
Enoughpairs works out how much sock stock a laundry loop needs so that the drawer does not empty. You set a wash frequency, a wear rate and a drying method; the service calculates the steady state of that loop, the number of pairs unavailable at any given moment, a buffer, when the set is likely to need attention, and how the requirement changes if the wash frequency changes.
The service sells no goods. It does not stock, ship, supply or arrange the supply of socks or any other physical item. It does not recommend a brand, a retailer or a subscription service, and it provides no purchasing route. It is a subscription to software, and it has no connection of any kind with any sock, clothing or other physical goods subscription.
The service accepts no images. There is no upload feature and no facility to send us a photograph.
Features may change as the service develops. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan does, we will tell registered users at least 14 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel.
3. Your account
- You must be 13 or older. If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
- Billing requires an adult.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly at support@londonsockcomp.shop if you think someone else has access.
- One account per person. Accounts are not for sharing or resale.
- You can use the free tier without an account at all.
4. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. In short: do not use the service to break the law, to attack it, to resell access to it, or to run automated traffic against it beyond what the interface offers.
5. Subscriptions, renewal and your allowance
Plans and prices
There are three plans: Free at $0, Turnover at $6 a month or $58 a year, and House at $18 a month or $173 a year. All prices are in US dollars and include VAT at 20 percent. The price you see at checkout is the price charged.
Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Before you subscribe, you are shown a separate screen setting out the amount, the billing period, the date of the next charge and how to cancel, and you have to confirm it. Before every renewal we send you a separate reminder email that is not mixed in with marketing.
The monthly allowance
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of service usage: 50, 360 or 1250 units depending on the plan. Reading a sentence into parameters costs 1, running the cycle calculation costs 2, and rendering the diagram and the stock card costs 5.
The allowance is a service usage limit. It is not money, not stored value, not redeemable for cash and not transferable. It resets at the start of each period and does not carry over. There are no top-up packs and no stored balance to buy. If you use it all before the period ends, the only route is to move up a plan.
6. Payment
Payment is taken by the payment provider configured for this site. We never see or store your full card number. By subscribing you authorise the recurring charge described on the confirmation screen, until you cancel.
If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds. We will tell you before suspending anything.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing: it is the same number of steps, in the same place, with no phone call, no email to send and no retention flow to get through.
Your statutory cancellation rights, the voluntary renewal cancellation window we operate, refunds and the statutory cancellation form are all set out on the cancellation and refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
8. What we own and what you own
- We own the service, its name, its interface and the technology behind it.
- You own the inputs you supply and the results the service produces for you. Use them however you like, subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
- You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store and process your inputs and to render and deliver your results. That licence ends when you delete the data, apart from any retention the law requires of us.
- Your laundry habits are not used to train models. We use only aggregate, non-identifying signals to keep the service working. See the privacy page.
9. What the service does and does not promise
The service performs a defined calculation and we take responsibility for it performing that calculation correctly. What it cannot do is know things you have not told it and could not tell it: how often the washing really happens as against how often you meant it to, how long your own pairs last, or which weeks will not look like a normal week.
For that reason every quantity is given as a range, alongside a written list of what the model cannot know, and no assurance is given that stocking to these figures prevents you running out. The full statement is on the AI notice page.
Nothing here is professional advice. Do not use the service for medical, legal, financial, safety, employment, credit, housing or judicial decisions.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content supplied to a consumer must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose you made known to us, and as described. If it is not, you have a right to have it repaired or replaced and, where that is not possible or not done within a reasonable time, to a price reduction. Section 47 of that Act means those rights cannot be excluded or limited by a contract term, and we do not attempt to.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Limits on our liability
Subject entirely to section 10 above, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable to both of us when you subscribed, for business losses, or for loss arising from your use of the service for a purpose it is not designed for. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
These limits do not apply to the statutory remedies described in section 10, which stand regardless.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your breach, we refund the unused part of the period.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings.
13. Changes to these terms
We will give registered users at least 14 days’ notice by email of any material change, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Changes required by law may take effect sooner where the law requires it.
14. Complaints, law and courts
Write to support@londonsockcomp.shop first — most things are settled that way, and we reply within two working days.
We do not take part in any alternative dispute resolution scheme, and there is no obligation on us to name one. If we cannot settle a complaint between us, you can take it to court.
These terms are governed by English law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there. Otherwise the English courts have jurisdiction.
